Lucky me, bicyle paths virtually the whole way, through a range of ecosystems ranging from open grassland to lightly wooded forest through dense and dark pine forest, alongside lakes, across dam walls, alongside drainways, through suburban areas, around the side of Black Mountain. Charnwood to Woden, in other words. Its fabulous but too far for everyday riding.
Bike commuting is a big part of my life and my identity. I'd be lost without it.
Had little specific incidents, apart from a couple of nasty-ish prangs and nearly copping a couple of snakes crossing the path during summer.
Wisht more people would realise the joy of combining healthy fun pursuit with a very practical need. But then again, wouldn't want the path to be too full. Long way to go before we got to that point of course.....
