Livng in the Berkshire mountains, I have a very limited choice of roads as there are very few roads! To get to/from work I can either take a quick flat straight main road (which is good after dark), or a hilly twisty back road which is great in the morning.
I am 28 years old and a full time bike mechanic. Which helps, believe me! I currently (winter) ride a K2 Arcadia hybrid for commuting, set up with a full light set, fenders, all the good stuff. But in the nice weather months I often use my recumbent or a road bike.
