Short and busy (but still pretty) or longer, quiet and stunning. The longer route takes me through a nature reserve, along the coast past a tiny harbour and only then onto busier roads. There are bike paths next to the busier roads but I don't use them as they mean you have to cross and re-cross the road to get on and off them.
Nothing that exciting. Have fallen off due to (a) first day with SPDs, (b) ice, (c) looking at scenery. Chased by dog once.
I'm a dedicated utility cyclist. SPDs have now gone and I routinely cycle in mys suit. Cycling clothes are for weekends only. Never wear a helmet (this seems to be important to Americans).
