I go from the east side of Portland to the west side in Beaverton. This includes going over the "west hills". Going to work is 2 miles of flat for a warm up then a constant uphill grade for the next 6 miles with the last 4.5 miles fairly flat or rolling. Home is flat for 4.5 then steep uphill for 2.5 miles then a long slight downhill . This makes a good 45 min. workout both ways.
A runner for 5 years, I've taken up biking this year to crosstrain and do Duathlons & tri's. One of each this last year, almost drowned my first tri!
Endoed 2 blockes from home last week when car pulled out in front. Back/shoulder still sore!
