4 lane city streets between the suburb of Edmond and Oklahoma City. Relatively low traffic ride starts at 6:45am and usually takes around 45min with stop lights. Return ride starts at 4:30pm and can be as quick as 35min with a strong tailwind.
I can't emphasize enough how much better I feel about myself since I began to commute by bicycle. I started on a garage sale 10 speed, and enjoyed it enough that I decided to buy a carbon fiber 18 speed. I have added a set of aero bars to try to fight the strong Oklahoma headwinds and I am currently trying to find an aerodynamic pannier to get the ruck sack off my back. Bicycle commuting is just so easy once you get started... You can spend 30 min. in a car or 45 min. getting exercise, saving money, and helping the environment. Plus, I love the look on people's faces when I tell them I ride a bike 25 miles round trip to work...
