The ride into work is 4.5 miles through suburban and semi-rural areas. The ride home is typically about 20 miles, primarily in rural areas. Quite a luxury! I ride from mid-March thru mid-December. My commute includes some very steep hills, which aren't kept clean enough in the dead of winter to permit cycling. Heck, some days it's not good enough for cars.
It's a great feeling to not be a slave to my car!
