Commutes 19 Miles RoundTrip for 3 years and months
Seven days a week, my bike is my primary transportation Year Round

I wrote a little blurb about my commute on this website about year ago, but now that my office has moved, I wanted to update. My commute distance has doubled. But that's not a bad thing. I live in Washington, DC and my office is in Alexandria, VA near Old Town and the King Street Metro for you DC metro locals. Crossing from DC to VA almost guarantees that I must use a multiuse path. But I have a choice about how long I use it. I'm usually on the path for about half of my commute. But I could cut it down to about 3 miles of the ride or I could increase it to most of the commute if I wanted. But the fastest and most direct route is generally at about half and the rest is on street mostly along a street that is a signed bike route with bike lanes in some places. Not a bad ride at all.

I'm married. My wife sold her car recently. I haven't owned a car for a about two years. So we're completely car free now. And my wife and I are planning to go look for her a bicycle tomorrow. Maybe we can do some recreational rides together now. We'll see!
