Commutes 30 Miles RoundTrip for years and 3 months
Five Days a week, I use my bike to travel to and from work Year Round

I commute to my full time job on city streets that are fairly busy. I work 3rd shift so it requires me riding to work in the dark and coming home in day light. I also commute to the family dairy farm to help out. I further have a horse located at the farm. This commute starts on 4 miles of a metropark bike trail then goes to country back roads. These back roads are not, as of yet, heavily travelled. The only time I do not commute is if the day is full of heavy thunderstorms or snowstorms.

I have been biking for the past 2 years for training for bicycling touring. Now that I have moved to a location where I am closer to my jobs and other businesses, I started to commute on bicycle. Also with fuel prices up I decided it is easier to fuel the body cheaper. I enjoy the commutes because it is nice to see the sights, the smells, the sounds, and other bicyclists. I have also had other people inquire about commuting by bicycles. We have started to use bicycles to get around the farm instead of using vehicles. Maybe it is starting to catch on some.

I am willing to help out with any questions or any thing pertaining to commuting by bicycles.
